Playa Park Zensation

Second stay at playa park and had as good a stay as before. A bit confused with the banding - paid for ultra all inclusive for rooftop and zensation restaurant but seemed to be a lot of people on bronze package using this too which confused me with the supplement I’d paid z Rooms kept clean and modern we paid for zensation block again and had a nice room with large balcony. Mini bar had 2 beer, 2 juice and 2 water with water replenished each day. Safe free to use too. Towels changed every day and had bathrobes and slippers included. Did have an unexpected cockroach one night but Sebastian on reception sorted this and within 5 minutes there was 2 staff who sprayed the room and no other issues rest of week. He also checked us in explaining everything and assisted us when booking other restaurant for dinner. Food different each night and hot - only thing that could be improved is the buffet restaurant as staff pretty slow at cleaning tables and often had to sit at dirty table and get someone’s attention to clean it. Could be easily solved by the host making sure someone sits people at tables instead of just monitoring them taping cards on entry. Ate at zensation restaurant 3 times and enjoyed our visit, Karen very nice and polite explaining how it works so thank you to her. She had only been there 3 months but will hopefully still be there when we return. Sergio on the bar always addressing husband by name and asking how we are and cannot fail to mention legendary Samba who is like the face of playa park. Full of energy and always makes sure you are happy and satisfied making you feel like a valued customer. Serves in the zensation restaurant and the bar and is so funny. He even recognised us from 2 years ago. Cocktails made fresh and found all drinks ok - could do with a different lager than tropical but it’s drinkable. Rooftop pool lovely for relaxing away from the bustle of the pool and entertainment during the day. We opted to lazy there most days and enjoyed it again. Nice to see Gino still providing the entertainment but also has a sidekick milen who is good at his job. Kids games and dances, bingo then external entertainment at night. We enjoyed the group in unison and the man who did Motown on the Saturday although was a shame so many people left - we thought he was really good. Used the spa once which was nice for a wee change. All in all another great stay and will hopefully stay again next year although not sure what banding is best to book as it doesn’t seem clear.

We visited this hotel end Sept-Oct for 10 nights, with 4 adults and one child (3). Did we have a nice time – yes. Would we go back – NO.. and here’s why: Absolutely no food or drinks available for a late-night arrival. Not even water in room. The all-inclusive band system made no sense whatsoever. We were there for 10 days, and we still couldn’t make heads or tails of it. Other than if you go during kids’ school holidays, there is absolutely no kid’s entertainment, despite being advertised on their schedule!! No air con in the dining room, made for many very unpleasant evenings. The only rooms with air-con is the new block (which is lovely) but right underneath the entertainment area, so VERY LOUD LATE NIGHT MUSIC – we had to buy earplugs lucky our 3yr old is a deep sleeper! The panoramic roof top pool was weird, unloved, much more dirty (day beds were filthy) than rest of hotel and steps in were lethal, saw so many people slip! I also got yelled at for going to the pool bar in a dry swimsuit, despite a man being in there topless… was very odd. Mini Bar in room isn’t stocked – Jet2 has a misleading advert for this, you have to pay & its expensive. No ice lollies for kids (not even an on-site shop with these) Rubbish range of cocktails. Evening entertainment was very Butlins. Social Media: We followed this hotel on IG before we booked and they post A LOT of content which is actually not the hotel at all, but places in town. Super misleading. Some Pros: The room in the new block was nice and well-equipped. Food in the sort-of A La Carte was nice. Only a few rude members of staff, but most were nice overall. Only 5euros into town if you want to catch a taxi. Good supermarket only a short walk away. This hotel was much more expensive than others I have visited in Fuerteventura, and while we had a nice time, it was definitely not a 4-star hotel.

This is going to be a long review as I'll go through everything in detail, so buckle up ☺️ My partner and I have been very stressed after a difficult time and, although, before we departed, I worried we wouldn't be able to fully relax in a hotel, I was so wrong. This hotel is great for a relaxing break while still being family friendly. FIRST IMPRESSIONS The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are incredibly friendly. The lobby is lovely. The atmosphere is very chill, and even though it was fairly busy, I never felt overwhelmed or rushed. I would 100% recommend this hotel to get away from the stresses of life. CHECK IN Check in was very easy. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I wish the All Inclusive element was explained a little better, as there are bronze, silver and gold options which confused us later in our stay. ROOM We booked a Superior Junior Suite in the Zensation building. Please be aware this is NOT a suite with a separate bedroom and living space, it is just a normal room, but very nice all the same. We had a balcony overlooking the main pool which was lovely. Again very clean. The Superior Junior Suites and Zensation Suites are the only rooms that have air-conditioning. We didn't use it very much as it was cooler in October, but I can imagine in the height of summer, the rooms without Aircon may be unbearable. The Superior Junior Suite came with towelling robes and slippers which were a little touch of luxury. We were HUGELY impressed with the soundproofing on the room. It might not sound like a big concern to many, but after staying in echoey hotel rooms previously, where every shuffle, clang, cough and bang can be heard from your neighbour, this was an absolute blessing. We had a very young baby in the room next to us and barely heard her. Once the patio doors were closed and sealed, it was so quiet. Perfect for relaxing! ROOF TERRACE WITH INFINITY POOL Our room came with free access to the Zensation rooftop terrace. This is included with all Superior Junior Suites and Zensation Suites. This was the most relaxing part of the holiday and our stay wouldn't have been the same without it. It is possible to buy passes at a cost of €10 per person per day if access isn't included in your booking already. Sun loungers were always available on the rooftop terrace (the ones by the main pool were all claimed by around 9am), so it took the stress out of the morning. No kids either which was a huge bonus (even though kids are allowed up there). If you can get one of the Bali beds, please do because they are incredibly comfortable and the ultimately luxurious way to lay by the pool. The bar was fab, 6 cocktails to choose from and a small selection of spirits. The pool is NOT heated so was a little chilly on the cloudier days, but a welcome cool plunge on the hot days. My only wish is the roof terrace was open longer. It is closed and locked between 5pm and 11am - a huge shame. I would have loved a quite drink up there

Came back a few days ago, from the most amazing week away here. As a young couple we honestly wasn’t bored of things to do here. The hotel itself was gorgeous, so well kept and always someone about keeping the place clean and as for our room it was huge. 2 beds a living area, 2 bathrooms and beautiful view of the pool. We booked our day trips through the hotel aswell, which made it so much easier, the desk is only open for an hour a day but there is a qr code which you scan and it takes you to whatsapp to direct the company directly. The only thing is deposit needed to be paid in cash but there is a cash machine in reception. As for the food, we are both picky eaters and we never struggled to find anything to eat. There was a good selection of food every night and we never saw the same foods twice during our week. The all inclusive drink were fab, red, white, rose, beer , fruit juices and sangria all on tap. A nice selection of cocktails and slushes too which we liked too add vodka or rum too. The location we didn’t find a problem, we love a stroll. We found it was a 15/20 minute walk to the centre, where there is a row of shops, bars and even a couple of night clubs. ( definitely take a trip to music square.) we took the scooters a few times, for experience took about 10 minutes on the scooters, they were just quite expensive. During our week we had an unfortunate accident where my partner cut his ear open during one of the activities in the day, resulting us in spending the day in the medical centre and then hospital. A big shoutout to ray, who helped us all day and came with us to and from the medical centre to the hospital, waited and payed with us for the whole day. We honestly couldn’t have done this without him, so a big thankyou to Ray. Overall a fantastic stay at playa park zensation, we will be back!

Just returned from a 7 night stay, we are a young couple and throughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were accommodating and all happy. We had a balcony overlooking the pool area which was lovely, we didn’t have air con but was given an extra fan which was super helpful. The robes and slippers were a nice added touch. As well as water in the fridge (would be nice to have it replaced daily). If we were being picky we would recommend having a little snack/soup, a drink on arrival. We arrived at 22:30 there was no supermarket open to buy food or nothing to eat. To have a better selection of the snacks in the day as it was only burger chips hotdog and onion rings. Lastly music around the pool area we had it some days but other days didn’t and much enjoyed the atmosphere when we did have it on. Overall a great stay and will be returning! We were also told that they are closing the hotel in May 2025 to have air con put in all the rooms! So if you are planning on coming after then you will have air con!

Awe what a lovely hotel, staff are probably the friendliest I’ve come across during all the years we’ve travelled nothing ever seemed to much and they were always smiling Food was good, not overly spoiled for choice but plenty and enough to keep you full,only small criticism would be the snacks during the day the usual hot dogs/chips and hamburgers usually cold, they need more of a healthy selection like fruit/cold sandwiches Drinks were perfect, plenty of choice and bar was never overly busy, there’s a pool top bar that was included in our package but I’m pretty certain anyone can use this, I think on arrival they handed us a pass to use up there but never asked for it Rooms are great, tbh I wouldn’t have paid the extra for the Zen block, although the rooms were lovely and had air on, I would have actually been happy to stay in the older part The towns a 15 minute stroll or a 5 euro taxi ride, plenty of shops and restaurants Also a lovely little sandy beach down the harbour, I wish we knew this but instead paid 10 euro each way to a beach further away it was lovely but extremely windy the day we went so couldn’t go in the sea, but the beach near the harbour was very calm and plenty of restaurants near by Day time entertainment was ok, we didn’t join in but there seem to be something on for everyone and music which I really enjoyed A really good mixture of evening entertainment, this was held in the bottom of the Zen block I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely return in the future
